WUT SUE THE RAPIST

Of course. Ironic in a way though.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/07/08/britain.lottery.rapist.ap/index.html?iref=mpstoryview
So a prisoner wins the lottery while in jail. What's the odds? And of course the 78 year old victim sues. Wait a second, the 78 year old victim? How old is this man. And isn't it sad how if he had won the lottery earlier he could have gotten almost any woman on the planet and not be charged with rape? But what if he never went to prison, would he have won the lottery then?

Funny, yet oddly weird.

So how about the NYC hospital issue

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/08/hospital.death/index.html

So her family wants to sue the hospital and the city for $25 million. 25 million! Don't get me wrong, what the nurses did was against their conduct and should be punished as a job related incident, but to bring a lawsuit against the hospital? My uncle passed away from a mistake a surgeon had made, yes my family created a lawsuit, but it had no monetary value. Instead this lawsuit was to clearly state it was the surgeons mistake, not an unpreventable circumstance. It harmed no one except for the surgeons reputation. But the law suit that Ms. Green's family is bringing up, brings further harm to a city with a weak healthcare system.

Suing the hospital and the city for 25 million, removes funds that can be used to save other lives, could be put into educational purposes, could even be used to make a memorial. Instead, they just want the money. I find that a bit selfish. They could, instead of suing for 25 mill, ask for a review of conduct of every hospital in NYC with that kind of money, to prevent this from ever happening to anyone else. Nope, they just want the money. And this money isn't actually coming out the doctors or surgeons, but the insurance companies. And where do the insurance companies get their money? You and my parents. Where does the city gets it's money? You and my parents.

I absolutely find it disgusting about the lack of care the nurses had. But I reviewed the video, there were other patients in that room. Why didn't they say anything? And to put criminal charges on them, it's an insult to the whole medical profession. It's their job to try and save lives, but they aren't exactly being paid the best. Let's think of another job that pays around a nurses wage. From what I understand nurses make about mmm 60-70k. Not bad, but compared to accountants 100k+, lawyers 120k+ and CEOs 32892804982032+, it's not that high. And their jobs are deemed as one of the MOST important jobs. Shouldn't we be them more? We want them to protect our lives, but a good amount of Americans get paid more.

Comment what you think. Please keep this educational.

10 seconds later and...another post

I was gonna post a pic and I decided, naw bro. I'll do it a little later.

Boy am I bored.

Hola,

Me llamo es Raymond Lui. Yo deci-siete anos. Yo soy San Francisco y yo es chino. Me madre es muy gordo y ella es un diablo.

Just a bit of Spanish, hopefully I'll remember it for senior year. Hey guise, hopefully you know who I am, but hey if I gain internet popularity, my name is Raymond Lui. I'm a 17 year old Chinese kid, trying to enjoy his last summer of his life. No I'm not gonna die anytime soon, but assuming in college, I won't be able to do such as I'll balance school and work.

So last summer and what am I doing? Nothing. My mom got Nazi on me. Get a job, get a job, GET A JOB. And I can't. I've been interviewed by Starbucks and sent in my resume to who knows how many companies. But still I'm not getting the "your hired" I need to hear. Hell, it's not like I'm lazy, but I guess I look like it. Peet's is supposed to give me a call by tomorrow, hopefully I will. I'm feeling lucky about it.

Well, that's a little summary of how my summer currently is, will update when I get my call.
